Public’s help sought with Toledo bank robbery suspect

TOLEDO — The FBI Cleveland Division, Toledo Resident Agency, along with the Lucas County Sheriffs Office and the Toledo Police Department, is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Don Woodson Ellis Jr., a suspect in an armed bank robbery on Aug. 13 in Toledo. Ellis may still be in Ohio and anyone with information is asked to contact the nearest FBI office or the local police.

Ellis was being held in the Lucas County Corrections Center on federal bank robbery charges following the alleged robbery on Monday. However, he was mistakenly released from jail around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 15. At the time, he was wearing a black T-shirt, light blue shorts/jeans to the knees and white sneakers with dark laces. He was using the name Antwon Moore at the time of departure from the jail. Ellis is considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
