LIMA — The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Lima has released more information on a high-speed chase from Friday morning in Lima.
According to Sgt. Steve Posada, at 1:11 a.m., a trooper noticed Gian Avery, of Lima, speeding near Jackson Street and Flanders Avenue. Avery began to pull his motorcycle over but then decided to take off.
Speeds during the chase ranged from 30 to 63 miles per hour.
The chase only lasted four minutes, ending 2.3 miles away on Ewing Street just east of Metcalf Street, which is where Avery lives.
He was charged with failure to comply with a signal of a law enforcement officer and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement.
