Bluffton legion raises $8,500 for area donations


BLUFFTON — The American Legion post 382 in Bluffton raised over $8,500 to donate to 18 area non-profit organizations while preparing for their 9th Annual Charitable Golf Scramble.

The legion post is donating to: the Allen County Abilities Baseball League, Allen County Veterans Food Pantry/Blue Star Mothers, American Legion National Emergency Fund, American Legion Operation Comfort Warriors, Auglaize Township Historical Society, Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256, Bluffton Diamond Sports, Bluffton Family Recreation, Bluffton Food Pantry, Bluffton Girl Scouts, Bluffton Scrap Artist Club, Challenged Champions Equestrian Center in Ottawa, Honor Flight of Findlay, Ohio, Lafayette Jackson Historical Society, Ohio American Legion Scholarship Fund, Ohio Department “Gifts for Yanks” program and the Urbana/Champaign Aviation Museum.

The donations will be passed to the recipients at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the Bluffton Ohio American Legion post at 405 N. Spring St.
