Armstrong museum to begin search for new director

WAPAKONETA — The Armstrong Air and Space Museum Association recently announced it will be seeking a new museum director in September after the current director, Chris Burton, expressed an interest in pursuing other opportunities.

“There’s a clause in his contract that says if either side wants to end the contract, they have to give 60-day notice,” said Joe Lenhart, Armstrong Air and Space Museum Association president. “I’m meeting with him next week to see if a mutual agreement can be reached.”

Brittany Venturella, the museum curator, will be interim director until a new director can be found to replace Burton, Lenhart said.
