Two hurt in crash at Putnam County cemetery


LEIPSIC — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one-vehicle crash which left two people injured.

At 8:40 a.m. Sunday they received the report of the crash on state Route 613 east of Leipsic in the cemetery curves.

Kaila Marie Stoffel, 29, of Leipsic, was eastbound and lost control of her vehicle on the curve, striking a manhole cover and then a large granite monument in the cemetery, causing severe damage to the vehicle and the monument.

Stoffel and a passenger, Joseph Vaughn Potter, 23, of Leipsic were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, the extent of which are currently unknown.
