ROCKFORD — The Wapakoneta post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the emergency landing of a crop dusting airplane just before 5 p.m. Thursday in Mercer County.

The pilot, Roger Trump, 61, of Greenville, was not injured when he landed his 1979 Cessna A188B in a bean field, according to a news release.

He was spraying a field when his engine failed and he lost power. He was forced to land northwest of Erastus Durbin and Rockford West roads in northwest Mercer County. Trump’s plane had minimal damage.
