LIMA — Applications for positions at the Lima Police Department (LPD) and Department of Public Works are due by end of day Friday.
The Department of Public Works will be hiring a construction and maintenance I position, and the LPD will be filling future police officer positions.
The civil service test for both positions will be on Saturday, July 21 once applications are approved.
The LPD will be holding an additional recruitment information session 6 p.m. Thursday at Waterford Townhomes, 524 Hope St. for anyone interested in more information on the application process. Police officer recruits do not need to have officer certification to be hired as the city will pay for officer training for qualified candidates. A high school education is required.
