LIMA — A spokesman for the Allen County Board of Elections reports that county residents will receive in the mail this week a notice from the Ohio Secretary of State’s office pertaining to voter registration.

The mailings will arrive in mailboxes sometime between July 2 and July 10. Residents who receive a mailing and who recently registered or updated their voter registration information will not need to take further action.

The postcards will be sent to the following individuals:

• A postcard will be sent to individuals who are eligible to be registered to vote (those with a record with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles), but are not registered;

• A postcard will go to voters who likely moved within the state and may need to update their voter registration information; and

• A cancellation form will go out to voters who may have moved to another state, according to the statement.
