ELIDA — No one was hurt when a vehicle struck a front wall of the Dollar General store on Elida Road
According to an officer with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, they received the call at 1:54 p.m. Thursday.
The 80-year-old female driver told officers her brakes had failed, causing her to strike the building, creating a large hole.
Merchandise on the outside and inside the store was damaged.
The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
No citations were issued.
A district manager for Dollar General indicated the store remains open for business.
