LIMA — Two people were injured Friday morning when their vehicle reportedly was forced off the roadway by an erratic driver and into a business establishment.

According to a preliminary report from a spokesman for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place at approximately 10 a.m. Friday when the vehicle in question struck a flagpole at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change business, 3230 Elida Road. The vehicle then careened off the flagpole and struck the building, according to the spokesman.

Both occupants of the vehicle were reportedly taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle told police an erratic driver had cut him off in traffic, causing the accident, according to the sheriff’s office spokesman.
