LIMA – Lima police are looking for two men who they say robbed a Bellefontaine Avenue pharmacy Thursday evening.

According to Detective Steve Stechschulte of the Lima Police Department, two black males entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 1415 Bellefontaine Avenue at approximately 7:45 p.m. According to police reports, the two suspects entered the store moments apart from one another, loitered inside the store briefly and then jumped a counter and into the pharmacy department with the intent to steal liquid prescription pharmaceuticals.

Police said the suspects encountered an employee and one of the men “acted as if he possessed a weapon.” After grabbing an unspecified quantity of the liquid pharmaceuticals, the suspects fled on foot and ran eastbound to a waiting dark-colored car, which fled northbound on Leonard Avenue.

Anyone with information about the robbery or can identify the suspects pictured are asked to contact the Lima Police Department at 419-227-4444 or call Stechschulte at 419-221-5181 or CrimeStoppers at 419-229-STOP.
