LIMA — The teen who allegedly threatened to “shoot it up” at Elida schools continues to be held held on $500,000 bond.
Tristan Ascura, 19, of Lima, appeared by video in Lima Municipal Court on Friday afternoon. He has a preliminary hearing set for 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on the charge of of inducing panic, a second-degree felony.
Ascura was taken into custody early Thursday, just over three hours after four Elida High School students reported him to authorities.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office discovered an AR-15 rifle and 500 rounds of 0.556 caliber ammunition in Ascura’s possession.
