LIMA — This 1950 Packard was purchased by Josh Bloomfield, general manager and owner of Lima Motor Company, at the Auburn Auto Auction just over a year ago.
Bloomfield enjoys going to the auction to see all of the amazing vehicles.
“This Packard caught my eye, as it was in impeccable shape and very mechanically sound, and I just knew it would look amazing in the showroom,” Bloomfield said.
Bloomfield says he loves the classics, and people stop into the dealership, located at 2062 N. Cable Road, all the time to see this Packard up close.
“It’s amazing to see the engineering and craftsmanship from this era. The old saying, ‘They don’t make them like they used to’” rings true with this 1950 Packard,” he said.
According to Bloomfield, this is the perfect classic car for a novice enthusiast.
“For under $10,000, you get a drive-able piece of history with no radio, power-steering or even seat belts. It’s a blast from the past which makes your Sunday cruise that much more enjoyable,” Bloomfield said.
