Lima Police investigate Sunday shooting

LIMA — Lima police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning that left a man hospitalized.

According to the Lima Police Department’s Facebook’s page, at about 3:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of South Main Street. Upon arrival, officers found Connell D. Gray, 22, originally from Mississippi, lying in the doorway of 904 S. Main St. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Gray had been attending a private party at the business, according to the social media post, and was shot in a parking lot on the east side of the street not long after leaving the building. Gray tried to make his way back to the business and collapsed before re-entering the building.

Gray was transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s for treatment and underwent surgery shortly after arriving at the hospital. His condition is still unknown.
