LIMA — A Lima man was hurt after the motorcycle he was operating was hit by a box truck Tuesday evening.
According to Sgt. Shawn Cook with the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Scott Neff, 48, was eastbound on state Route 81 at Thayer Road at 6:28 p.m. when he was struck by a box truck driven by Mladen Dragicevic, 24, of Wildwood, New Jersey.
Neff was taken to Lima Memorial Health System by Bath EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. Dragicevic was not hurt but was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
Sgt. Cook said that Neff was in the lane to go straight on state Route 81, but a semi truck was in the right turn lane to go south on Thayer Rd. and Dragicevic’s view of Neff was obscured by the semi truck.
