CELINA — A former Celina resident has been returned to Mercer County from Texas after violating the terms of his probation.

Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that Michael Croyle, 53, was booked into the Mercer County Jail Friday after being transported back from Texas.

Croyle was arrested in Rusk County, Texas, on Feb. 13, on unspecified charges. After the completion of his case in Texas, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by authorities at the Texas Department of Corrections to make arrangements to extradite Croyle to Ohio.

Croyle was arrested on a bench warrant issued by the Mercer County Common Pleas Court on Jan. 31 of this year. The warrant states that Croyle failed to comply with community control sanctions.

He pleaded guilty in Mercer County Common Pleas Court in September of 2016 to the aggravated possession of drugs.
