CELINA — Three persons were arrested on drug-related charged Monday evening in Celina, Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said in a statement Tuesday. Grey said the charges are related to a traffic stop on Ash Street in Celina that occurred at approximately 5:48 p.m. Monday.

Grey said deputies stopped a 2000 Mercury driven by Shawn Krugh, 29, of Willshire, who was subsequently arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence. A K-9 officer at the scene alerted on the vehicle and two passengers, Wesley Kempton, 34, of Salamonie, Indiana, and Crystal Mullins, no address available, were arrested for possession of drugs.

Suspected heroin, methamphetamines, drugs abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia were recovered from inside the vehicle, the sheriff said.

Krugh’s bond was set at $10,000 and the bonds of Kempton and Mullins were set at $50,000 each. All three remain incarcerated in the Mercer County jail. Deputies were assisted by the Heroin Interdiction Team and the Celina and Coldwater police departments.
