Lima Sprouts kicks off 2018 summer CSA program

LIMA — The 2018 summer Community Support Agriculture Program is kicking off next month, and the first payment for those wishing to purchase food is due on Tuesday, May 15.

By signing up to be a part of the program, the consumer shares in the risk of the farmer and has the opportunity to directly take part in the production of their food. Shareholders proactively purchase their produce before it is even growing, helping the farmer pay of the many costs involved in growing significant quantites of food, pay themselves for the time involved and invest back into the farm.

The season runs for 20 weeks. Payment options can be found at Those interested can call 419-302-4166.
