Putnam County Common Pleas Court

The following individuals were indicted May 2 following a session of the Putnam County grand jury.

Laurie Watt, 46, 409 W. Park St., Lafayette; bribery, dereliction of duty.

Virginia L. Bowling, 46, 18526 Road B 13, Continental; theft.

Amanda M. Ringler, 33, 8349 Road 51, Payne; illegal conveyance of drugs onto grounds of detention facility, possession of drugs.

Samuel J. Williams, 22, 1570 N. Perry St., Lot 52, Ottawa; unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Russell A. Doster, 37, 6458 Schwartz Road, Fort Wayne; notice of residence address change.

Megan E. Schnipke, 31, 501 W. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove; forgery, gross patient neglect, patient neglect.

Rachel R. Friesel, 36, 210 N. High St., Pandora; involuntary manslaughter, forgery, gross patient neglect, patient neglect.

Destiny M. Fenbert, 20, 13350 Road 3, Pandora; involuntary manslaughter, forgery, gross patient neglect, patient neglect.

April 30

Michelle M. Oler, 31, 423 E. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, was remanded to the WORTH Center for possession of drugs (oxycodone). She was placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment, obtain a GED, and complete all counseling and treatment as recommended. She was remanded to the county jail for execution of sentence.

Luis A. Carter, 38, 1000 Hardin St., Defiance, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1030 a.m. June 1.

May 1

Bradley J. Romes, 37, 1196 S. Oak St., Ottawa, was sentenced to 180 days jail for telecommunications harassment. The judge suspended 160 days and gave him credit for three days served. He must complete an assessment with Pathways Counseling Center and complete all treatment recommendations. Charges of burglary, menacing by stalking and assault were dismissed. The bond of $4,500 was ordered released.

Rodney E. Taylor, Lima, was granted a divorce from Sandra S. Taylor, Continental. They were married 0ct. 27, 1979, in Oakwood and have no children.

May 2

Jerry L. Johnson, 68, 3257 Buckeye St., Toledo, was sentenced to four days jail for permitting drug abuse.

Theresa M. Cox-Palmer, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Wesley E. Palmer, Ottawa. They were married May 2, 2015 and have no children.

May 4

Andrew J. Watkins, IV, 31, 2720 N. Cole St., Apt. A, Lima, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine) and 12 months in prison for permitting drug abuse. He had been found guilty by a jury March 21. The sentence was ordered to be served concurrent and Watkins was given credit for 46 days served. He was ordered to pay $700 to the MAN unit.

Jackson Township Trustees, v. the estate of Delbert J. Martin, Delphos, and Deborah J. Martin, Delphos; complaint of abatement of nuisance/and or refuse and debris on property.

April 23

Chadd A. Moore, 47, 20752 Road R2, Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to third-offense OVI. Sentence: 360 days jail, 180 days suspended, $1,500 fine, $500 fine suspended, five-year license suspension, complete alcohol/drug assessment and counseling. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.

April 24

Robert J. Loman, 63, 359 N. Hall St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge wrong way/one way was dismissed.

Aubrey K. Schroeder, 24, 3141 State Route 613, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: Four points, 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, one-year license suspension, complete DIP. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.

April 26

Norfolk Southern Railroad, Fort Wayne, Ind., pleaded no contest to obstructing roads by railroads and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine.

May 1

Corey M. Dunlap, 28, 606 W. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to second-offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 135 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $475 suspended, three-year license suspension, complete alcohol and drug assessment. He also pleaded guilty to driving under OVI suspension. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $250 fine. Charges of left of center and open container were dismissed.

Aloysius J. Coressel, 49, 17531 Road E, Continental, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. Another OVI charge was dismissed.

Bradley J. Romes, 37, 1196 S. Oak St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 163 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with sentence to run concurrent with Common Pleas Court case. Charges of failure to control and disorderly conduct were dismissed.

Carlos S. Gutierrez, III, 19, 62 Main St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 30 days jail, 20 days suspended, $250 fine, suspended, perform 100 hours community service.

May 3

Douglas E. Dahill, 29, 5 Oakwood Place, Lima, pleaded no contest to theft and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 150 days suspended, $100 fine, not to be present at Walmart for two years.

Virginia L. Bowling, 46, 18526 Road B 13, Continental, pleaded no contest to driving without a valid license and was found guilty. Sentence: $200 fine.
