Carey woman tells Lima police she was robbed at gunpoint

LIMA — Lima police responded early Thursday to the report of an armed robbery.

According to a spokesman for the Lima Police Department, at approximately 12:25 a.m. a 27-year-old female from Carey was driving through the 1300 block of North Main Street when she stopped to check her cell phone. She told police an unknown white male ran up to her vehicle and robbed her at gunpoint of her phone, wallet, cash and other items.

The suspect fled on foot and has not been located or identified. There are no other facts to the case at this time, police said.
