Lima JCPenney to celebrate 100th anniversary

LIMA — To commemorate the 100-year anniversary of JCPenney in Lima, the store will be holding a special celebration Friday, hosted by the store’s general manager, Pamela Glassco, and featuring Mayor David Berger and other city officials who will join Glassco in blowing out 100 birthday candles.

Following the 9:30 a.m. ceremony, the first 100 customers in line after the store opens at 10 a.m. will receive $10 off and $100 off coupons depending on size of purchases, as well as swag bags with beauty and hair care products while supplies last. Customers will also have the chance to participate in a raffle to win a KitchenAid free standing mixer, retailing for $449.99.
