State troopers arrest alleged kidnapper


VAN WERT — Ohio State High Patrol troopers stopped an alleged kidnapper heading west from Virginia after receiving an amber alert Monday.

The vehicle identified in the alert, a 2018 GMC U-Haul, was pulled over at 1:33 p.m. on U.S. Route 30 near mile marker 21 by state troopers, and two children, ages 4 and 5, were found unharmed.

The driver, identified as Camille M. Crumbly, 29, of Roanoke, Virginia, was charged with child abduction, a third-degree felony, drug charges as well as falsification. The passenger Tineshia Monae Mack, 24, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, was also taken into custody and charged with falsification. Both were incarcerated at the Van Wert County Jail pending court appearances.

The children were turned over to Van Wert County Child Protective Services until they can be returned to their family.
