LIMA — Two Elida men were arrested Saturday on domestic violence charges following an altercation at their Wolfe Road residence. One of the men was also charged with resisting arrest.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 5:08 p.m. Saturday to 5405 Wolfe Road in reference to a domestic violence complaint. During investigation, deputies received statements that the two men, Brian Beach, 21, and Scott A. Mitchell Jr., 24, were involved in a mutual, combatant domestic violence incident. According to the suspects and witnesses, Beach and Mitchell, who are domestic partners, got into a verbal altercation inside the residence, which eventually led to a physical altercation between the pair outside the home.
According to the report, Beach was arrested without further incident but Mitchell began to physically resist officers by shoving and struggling with the deputies and was charged with resisting arrest.
The case is still being investigated and information is being transferred to the Lima Municipal Court.
