Lima Senior students attend YMCA Youth State Assembly in Columbus

LIMA — Ten bills presented by Lima Senior High School students passed the House last weekend’s Ohio YMCA Youth and Government High School State Assembly in Columbus.

Lima Senior sent 37 students who presented 20 different bills teams of students had written. Of those bills, 13 passed through committee and 10 through the house.

The bills that passed were written by the following students:

•Jeremiah Dew and Anna Hahn

•Ceyshon Huggins and Alyssa Suarez

•Connor Brayton and Quinn Gable

•Kyleigh Rodriquez and Zachary Zweibel

•Alexander Burden and Raina Torres

•Xavier Cloud and Ashlie Kerby

•Angeleta Cowan

•Soren Cress and Cassie Phillips

•Azaira Andrews and Jurney Phillips

•Jevon Moore and Shaianne Zimmerman

Reilie Lyons was elected President Pro Tem during last years even by the entire delegation and served. Jeremiah Dew was elected auditor and Quinn Gable was elected attorney general for next year’s delegation.
