Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Feb. 12

Clark E. Sturgeon II, 42, 725 S. Cable Road, Apt. 3D, Lima, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for breaking and entering. The sentence was ordered to be served concurrent with an Allen County case. He was also ordered to pay $45 restitution to Ted’s Market, Pandora.

Shawnda M. Metzger, 720 Harmon St., Delphos, was found in contempt of court orders. Metzger was given the opportunity to purge the contempt by paying Alan J. Metzger $2,540 and payment of court costs. The amount is half the bill for the child’s orthodontist treatment.

Feb. 13

David Hovest was sworn in as fiscal officer of Union Township beginning Feb. 13, 2018. He replaces Kyle L. Unverferth, 39, 110 W. North St., Kalida, who was indicted on two counts theft in office and falsification in a theft offense.

Feb. 14

Graceann Cease, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Glenn A. Cease, Jr., Larksville, Pa. They were married Aug. 10, 1996 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and have one minor child.

Feb. 15

Jennifer M. Dietrich, Pandora, was granted a divorce from Michael Dietrich, Fenton, Mo. They were married Feb. 14, 2014, in Findlay, and have no children.

Mark S. Draper, Pandora, and Christine M. Draper, Pandora, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Aug. 6, 2005 in Spencerville and have two children.

New Cases

Kimberly A. Schreiber, Ottawa, v. Production Productions, Inc., Columbus Grove, and Bureau of Workers Compensation, Columbus; workers compensation.

Michael Raye, Ottawa, and Dainna Raye, Ottawa; dissolution of marriage with children.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Feb. 6

Gregory L. Siefer, 63, 209 Center St., Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: 30 days jail, 27 days suspended, $250 fine, six-month license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of littering from vehicle was dismissed.

Cody M. Dills, 25, 403 S. 5th St., Continental, pleaded no contest to complicity to theft and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 178 days suspended, $150 fine and perform 32 hours community service.

Feb. 8

Jack L. Poling, 42, 1940 Langlan Drive, Defiance, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 30 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspended, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of speeding was dismissed.

Feb. 9

Mark D. Kuhlman, 37, 150 Glandorf Road, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to driving under OVI suspension (second offense within six years). Sentence: 180 days jail, 120 days suspended, $500 fine. He also admitted to probation violation. Sentence: 120 days jail, sentence to be served consecutive.

Feb. 12

Darby L. Rayle, 32, 101 N. Pearl St., Pandora, charged with disrupting public service, a felony, bound over to Common Pleas Court.

Brian L. Warnimont, 33, 110 Van Buskirk, Miller City, charged with having weapon/disability, a felony, bound over to Common Pleas Court.

Feb. 13

William H. Lucas, IV, 19, Broadway Inn, Findlay, charged with tampering with evidence, a felony, bound over to Common Pleas Court.

Michael J. Coleman, 35 728 W. O’Connor Ave., Lima, pleaded guilty to first-offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, two-year license suspension, with credit for six days jail upon completion of DIP and complete alcohol and drug assessment. He was also charged $50 for use of headlight beams.

Leonard J. Vaughn, 31, 885 Wentz Road, Elida, pleaded no contest to drug abuse/possession and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension.

Feb. 15

Susan K. Wilson, 59, 11011 Road 16, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to drug possession. Sentence: $150 fine. She also pleaded guilty to drug paraphernalia. Sentence: $150 fine.
