MEDINA — No one was hurt when a building partially collapsed Monday in downtown Medina, officials said.
Part of the building at 226 South Court Street, which houses the home decor shop Gardener’s Cottage, fell down Monday morning, police and fire dispatchers said.
The back wall of the building’s first floor began to crumble around 9 a.m., WEWS-Channel 5 reported. The second and third floor walls came loose after that, the outlet reported.
The partial collapse comes the day after the Medina Ice Festival, when a canopy fell off the same building Sunday night, the outlet reported.
Electricity and gas has been shut down in the area as crews tend to the scene, according to WEWS-Channel 5.
It is unclear what caused the partial collapse.
