LIMA — What started as a Facebook Marketplace transaction ended as a strong-armed robbery late Sunday.
According information from the Lima Police Department, police were dispatched at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday to 1855 N. Cole St. in reference to the robbery.
Police said Joshua Pearce, 21, of Lima, had gone to the Cole Street address to complete a transaction arranged through Facebook. He reportedly handed cash to the suspect through the window of a vehicle, police said, but the vehicle then sped away, dragging Pearce for a short distance. He suffered abrasions but was not treated for his injuries. The suspect was not located.
The case remains under investigation.
