HARROD – Crews from American Electric Power were called to the scene of a one-vehicle accident Monday to remove a power pole that came to rest atop a car.

The crash took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. at 5505 S. Phillips Road near Harrod. A passenger in the vehicle was reportedly trapped for a short time but was extricated by first responders and reportedly suffered only minor injuries.

Allen County Sheriff’s deputies and the Harrod Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. No additional information was available Monday.
