LIMA — A Lima man wanted by authorities for his alleged role in an assault last month at Waffle House and other unrelated incidents was taken into custody Thursday night in a joint endeavor by the Lima Police Department and Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a statement, Decorian H. Dawson, 26, was apprehended at approximately 11:23 p.m. at a bar at 121 E. North St., Lima. He is currently being held on multiple indictments and warrants from different incidents. One warrant for assault, issued by Lima Municipal Court, is related to the Dec. 27 Waffle House incident, that reportedly left a Lima woman with serious injuries.
Lima residents Moniqua Lasenby and Nahporchia Allen were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after a fight that broke out 3 a.m, according to police. Dawson was identified as a person of interest at that time.
Dawson is also charged in a two count Allen County Grand Jury indictment for aggravated robbery with a firearm; a failure to appear warrant issued by Allen County Juvenile Court; and a separate suspicion of robbery warrant issued in Lima Municipal Court.
