LIMA — The attorney for Patrick Hull, charged with vehicular homicide and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol for causing an August traffic accident that claimed the life of a young woman, on Thursday withdrew his motion to suppress evidence in the case. Hull also waived his right to a speedy trial after defense attorney John Fisher told Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Reed that a resolution to the case appears to be near.

Hull, 24, of Lima, is charged in the Aug. 5 traffic accident that claimed the life of Holly C. Mooney, 23, of Lima, who was a passenger in Hull’s vehicle. Hull was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Mooney was taken to Lima Memorial Health System and was then flown to Promedica Hospital in Toledo. She died three days later of injuries sustained in the crash.
