BLUFFTON — The Shannon Theater will be hosting a sensory friendly-showing of “Wonder” at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20.
The showing is meant to help children with special needs enjoy a movie in a safe setting. Unlike a typical showing, theater lights are dimmed instead of turned completely off, the volume is lowered and the “silence policy” is not enforced.
The first 50 families who attend will receive two free tickets.
“Wonder,” released in November, tells the story of August Pullman, a fifth-grade boy with facial differences who attends mainstream elementary school for the first time.
