2 injured in accident on Interstate 75

FINDLAY — Two people were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital Tuesday after two semi trailers collided on Interstate 75.

Shellon A. Schoberg, 31, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was traveling northbound on the right hand lane of the interstate near mile post 156 when he lost control of his freight-liner and ran off the right hand side of the roadway. He struck the right side of the trailer being hauled by Joseph B. Joffman, 49, of Trenton, Michigan, who was traveling in the northbound left lane.

Schoberg went off the right side of the roadway again striking the guardrail and the bridge support column. Schoberg and his passenger, Latasha Langford, 31, of Atlanta, Georgia, received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Liberty Township Fire Department, Ed’s Towing, Hancock County EMA, The Ohio Department of Transportation and Hanco EMS.
