Akron woman charged in shooting that seriously injured two men

AKRON — An Akron woman is charged in a shooting that seriously injured two men Tuesday in the city’s West Hill neighborhood.

Hedy Moss, 49, is charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence in the shooting on Gold Street near North Valley Street, police said.

One man was shot in the head and is in critical condition at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, police said. The other man was shot in the arm and is in serious condition at Summa Akron City Hospital, police said.

Moss is accused of shooting the two men during an argument that happened just before 5 a.m., police said. Officers arrested her later Tuesday morning at a house in South Akron.

Investigators did not say how Moss knows the two men or why she argued with them. The shooting remains under investigation, police said.
