Two men arrested on drug charges after local task force executes warrants

LIMA — Investigators from the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force executed a pair of search warrants on Jan. 12 in Lima that led to the arrest of two Lima men on drug charges.

The task force, with assistance from the Lima Police Department SWAT team, executed the first search warrant at 615 N. Collett St. During the search, approximately 6 grams of suspected fentanyl was seized. Savon Jackson was taken into custody at the scene and was booked into the Allen County Jail for an outstanding probation violation warrant. Additional charges against Jackson will be presented to an Allen County grand jury at a later date, according to authorities.

Later that day, task force investigators executed a search warrant at 908 Richie Ave. Approximately 31 grams of heroin was located inside the residence and Eric Thomas was taken into custody at the scene and booked into the Allen County Jail for suspicion of possession of heroin. Charges will be presented to the grand jury at a later date.
