Allen County Sheriff releases crime stats for December


LIMA — Allen County Sheriff’s deputies investigated 43 incidents of theft, 20 assaults, nine burglaries and two robberies during the final month of 2017, according to information furnished by the department.

Of all the incidents of theft that were investigated by deputies, 28 were in Lima and 11 originated in Elida. Two reports came from Beaverdam and one each were from Lafayette and Harrod.

The overwhelming majority of assaults, 12, originated in Lima, according the the monthly stats. Four incidents were investigated in Elida and two calls each came from Harrod and Beaverdam residents.

Both incidents of robbery investigated by deputies were in Lima. Of the nine burglary/breaking and entering calls received by deputies, five came from Elida and four originated in Lima.
