City of Kenton holding MLK celebration


Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, 10:30 a.m., St. John’s Church, 211 E. Carrol St., Kenton, followed by a unity march that begins and ends at St. John’s Church.

KENTON — The city of Kenton will hold a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Church, 211 E. Carrol St., Kenton.

Representatives from various political, religious and ethnic organizations will discuss Dr. King’s motivation to “Empower the People” to make their voices heard.

The program concludes with a unity march that will begin and end at St. John and will be followed by a free meal.
