Columbus police investigate 6th homicide in first six days of 2018

COLUMBUS — Columbus’ sixth homicide in the first six days of the year was a black male in his 20s found dead in a running car on the Northeast side.

Police responded at 7:21 a.m. Saturday to the 1200 block of East 22nd Avenue after a caller said there was a running vehicle in his driveway with someone in it.

Police found a male in the driver’s seat of the vehicle shot to death.

Police didn’t release the victim’s name and said they have no suspect at this time.
