LIMA — A Lima woman has been formally charged in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred early Tuesday morning.
Stacy Bridgewater, 33, was arraigned Tuesday in Lima Municipal Court on a charge of felonious assault with a deadly weapon. She will make her initial appearance in Allen County Common Pleas Court during a preliminary hearing set for Jan. 8.
According to the Lima Police Department, Bridgewater stabbed Martin L. Bledsoe, 23, in his upper torso at a home in the 1200 block of South Sugar Street. Bledsoe was found in the 1100 block of Taft Street and was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s in critical condition. His condition has since been been upgraded to stable.
