Suspect sought in armed robbery of Slix Party Shop

BATH TOWNSHIP — Allen County deputies enlisted the public’s help to identify a man who allegedly removed money from multiple registers during an armed robbery Friday.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 11:52 a.m. Friday about the robbery at Slix Party Shop, 1801 N. Dixie Highway, Lima. A 5-foot-6, thin-build male described as a light-skinned black male entered the business with a shotgun, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

The man, wearing dark clothing and a near-full face-covering black mask, ordered the two female employees to open the cash registers. He removed the money before fleeing in a dark-colored Chevrolet sports utility vehicle parked at a neighboring business, which then headed north on Stewart Road.

No one was injured in the incident. It’s unclear if the suspect was alone in the vehicle. Anyone with information should call the sheriff’s office at 419-227-3535 or Crime Stoppers at 419-229-STOP (7867).
