Lima police to hold hiring informational session


Lima Police recruitment informational session, 6-7:30 p.m., Bradfield Community Center, 550 S. Collett St., Lima. Attendees will learn about the application, testing and hiring process for the Lima Police Department.

LIMA — With the Lima Police Department set to hire more patrol officers, the department will hold a recruitment informational session from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bradfield Community Center, 550 S. Collett St.

Representatives from the department will be on hand to outline career opportunities and walk attendees through the application, testing and hiring process.

The patrol officer civil service exam will take place at 1 p.m. Dec. 16 at Veterans Memorial Civic Center. Applications must be turned in by 4 p.m. Dec. 13 to the City of Lima Civil Service Board, located in the Human Resource office on the third floor of the Lima Municipal Building.

While any candidate can apply, minority candidates are strongly encouraged to attend the informational meeting and apply, according to the department.
