TOLEDO — A Lima man was indicted on child pornography charges, according to U.S. Attorney Justin E. Herdman and FBI Special Agent Stephen D. Anthony.
According to a statement issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Ohio, Mason Shepherd, 28, “knowingly received and distributed numerous images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct” between 2013 and 2017.
If convicted, the defendant’s sentence will be determined by the court after reviewing factors unique to this case, including the defendant’s role in the offense and the characteristics of the violation, federal prosecutors said.
The investigating agency in this case is the FBI. The case is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracey Ballard Tangeman.
