FINDLAY — A Mount Blanchard woman was hospitalized after an accident Tuesday but authorities said she suffered a medical problem and was not injured in the crash.
Troopers with the Findlay post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated the single-vehicle accident Tuesday that was believed to be medically related. The accident occurred on Interstate-75 in Hancock County when a southbound vehicle driven by Melissa Stone, 52, of Mount Blanchard, went off the roadway and struck a cement median barrier.
Stone was unresponsive when found by first responders but state troopers said she was not injured in the crash. She was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco EMS.
Seat belts were not in use by the occupant and alcohol does not appear to be a factor, troopers said.
