PVFF looking for volunteers to help overdose families

LIMA — The Partnership for Violence Free Families partnered with the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties to create a program to respond to and assist families in the immediate aftermath of a drug overdose.

The program involves training volunteers to be available to link the families and loved ones of overdose victims to support and available services. Volunteers would be called upon to respond at the request of law enforcement to contact those who would be impacted by the loss from an overdose.

Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to contact Rick Skilliter, PVFF Drug Overdose Survivor Support Coordinator at 419-549-8530, ext. 9, or by email at rskilliter@pvff.org.
