LIMA — A #WomenForBerger event aimed at demonstrating support for Lima Mayor David Berger’s re-election campaign will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Memorial Civic Center, with doors opening at 4 p.m.
This co-ed event will feature Dayton Mayor and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Nan Whaley. The event is free, but reservations are requested, either by visiting http://bit.ly/2gpOkWw or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.
“We are honored and thrilled to have Mayor Whaley join us in support of Mayor Berger’s re-election,” said Maralee Sullivan, #WomenForBerger Co-Chair. “Mayor Whaley’s work with Mayor Berger over the years clearly shows his commitment to the participation and effectiveness of women in leadership.”
While making the case for Berger’s re-election, the event will also highlight efforts to elevate the status of women in the economic and political arenas.
