LIMA — One person was hurt in a house fire Thursday morning at 1405 N. West St. in Lima.
According to Greg Kirkendall, battalion chief with the Lima Fire Department, crews were called to the home at 7:03 a.m. and found light smoke coming from the home.
All of the occupants, except a 68-year-old woman, got out of the house safely.
She was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center for treatment of a laceration and smoke inhalation.
Kirkendall says a couch caught fire but they are still investigating the exact cause of the blaze.
Damage to the home and contents was listed at $25,000.
