Police: Lima woman stabbed, killed boyfriend

LIMA — A Toledo man is dead and a Lima woman is in the Allen County jail accused of his murder.

Lima Police Depatment officers were dispatched just before 2 a.m. Monday to the Lima West Apartment, 1855 N. Cole St., Apt. 46, on a report of a man not breating, according to a statement from the Lima Police Department. When officers arrived they found Stephan D. Kimble-Childress, 27, of Toledo, unconcious. Police officials said he appeared to be stabbed.

Kimble-Childress was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police officials said Kimble-Childress was involved in an argument with his girlfriend, Autumn Spears, 19, who lives in the apartment. They said the argument turned physical and Spears stabbed Kimble-Childress with a kitchen knife.

Spears was arrested on suspicion of murder.

An autopsy by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Kimble-Childress died from stab wounds.
