Ada schools trains in mental health first aid

ADA — Ninety three staff members from Ada Exempted Village School District participated in Youth Mental Health First Aid Training on Monday.

The course was facilitated by the Partnership for Violence Free Families. The training is an eight-hour course, for adults to better understand the developing mental challenges of children 13 to 18 years old.

Ada is the fourth school to have its staff trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid, following Kenton City School District, New Knoxville schools and the Allen County Educational Service Center.
