West Central Ohio-Central Labor Council to host parade


LIMA — The West Central Ohio-Central Labor Council will host its annual Labor Day Parade on Monday.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Organized Labor — Giving Workers a Voice, Giving Families a Better Life.”

Bill Allen, of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 372 union, will be this year’s grand marshal. In place of trophies, cash prizes awarded in parade categories will be given to the United Way of Greater Lima.

The parade rally point will be the Northland Shopping Center on North West and Main streets. Staging for approved parade entries starts at 9 a.m., and the parade begins at 10 a.m.
