Hancock crash leaves 2 hospitalized


FINDLAY — Two individuals were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay following a two-vehicle accident shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.

According to a report from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the crash took place on state Route 12 at Marion Township Road 212. The investigation revealed that Ashley S. Nelson, 31 of Findlay, was traveling northeast on state Route 12 when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Hadeel J. Salameh, 24, also of Findlay, that was traveling north on the township road. Salameh reportedly failed to observe a stop sign at the intersection and struck Nelson’s vehicle in the side.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital following the crash. Salameh was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.

Both drivers were wearing their safety belts, the report stated.
