LIMA — After 15 years at its old location, Northwest Physical Therapy has moved to a new office a few doors down.

The Ottawa-based physical therapy office, which expanded to Lima in 2002, is now located at 3760 Allentown Road. Though it is in the same complex as before, the new location is larger by 500 square feet. The increased space allowed the company to add two more private treatment rooms, expand its waiting area and create more room for the office staff.

“We had been very busy and we were outgrowing our current space, so we just came here,” said Wanda Dean, co-owner and physical therapist at Northwest Physical Therapy. “Now we’re not running into each other as much, we have more space for privacy if needed, and we’re able to serve more people.”

NWPT provides a variety of services, including physical, occupational, speech and manual therapy, as well as industrial wellness. The office’s two full-time physical therapists and their assistants treat conditions such as lower back pain, neck pain, arthritis, headaches, balance disorders, joint and muscle sprains, and more. The company also specializes in women’s health and dry needling, which helps treat muscle pain.

“We see all kinds of clientele here,” Dean said.

The services they provide are by appointment only, and those wishing to schedule a session may call 419-221-0904. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, but appointments can be scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during those days. Saturday and Sunday appointments are “by arrangement.”

“We do all we can to accommodate our clients,” Dean said.

NWPT has been serving northwest Ohio for more than 24 years, with locations in Ottawa, Delphos, Lima and Bluffton. For details, visit northwestphysicaltherapy.com.
